The time had come again. It was desirous to gather friends again for a day of crafting together, this time with the purpose of making some lovingly handmade gifts for Christmas. I decided to do things the more old fashioned/crafty way and actually make handmade invitations for everyone.
The unfortunate downside of doing things the old fashioned way is that, for those I didn`t get to deliver the invitations to in person I discovered how rarely people check their mail sometimes. Alas, this made for fewer people aware of the party *prior* to the party date. If I do that again, I think I will have to follow it up with some modern communication form, just to make sure.
To keep with the crafting mood, I supplied some themed snacks, including yarn&needles cupcakes and some button cookies.
My main project that I worked on through the evening was my own made-up pattern based off of the image of this headband from Boutique Knits.
Pictures of that to come soon.
Fellow crafters made handmade Christmas cards, decoratively wrapped presents and made some hand-painted ceramic gifts. I am very proud to say that there were two gentlemen in out ranks that day, one of whom might be the most unexpected, but most enthusiastic taker to crafting I`ve seen so far.
So until the next party....
