Well, I'll admit that I am with the crew intrigued by sewing what is called a playsuit or romper. The trend came out a while ago, but it took me some time to try it out since the only free pattern I could find was here, but it required some Adobe computer programs that I did not have and my computer could not support, let alone my wallet. There are a number of great pattern on that site, but they all require the same programs in order to print them out. I finally managed to borrow a computer with those capabilities long enough to print out this pattern.
This first one was truly a tester. I made it out of an old sheet and didn't do any modifications on the pattern. After making this one, I started on a second that got significant shaping alterations through the waist and some other decorative tweaks. Photos of that one to come.
For this one at least, it is fun and comfy for lounging around the apartment or even sleeping in. Nothing special, but good for a test run. It lives up to its name, after all: I feel like playing whenever I wear it.
Love rompers!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried making one, but my sister bought a really cute one on Etsy!
