Spring is coming. I can feel it. Well, I can't really feel it since it is still chilly...but I can see it! It was not only sunny today, but stayed bright a little later. Come on Spring!
So, it is day seven and I haven't cracked yet. Yay me! I was pretty worried I would have failed already. Not failing at wearing my stuff, but failing to document and prove it. This challenge is excellent for making me get photos of projects that have been rotting away on my 'to photograph/blog' list for a long time; some for over a year. I know.
And, in terms of items worn, I took it easy on myself when I committed to this, since it was my first time, and only promised to wear one item a day. So far I have yet to go below two. I hope I can keep that up.
headband: me made!
earrings: rose quartz vintage from my mother
sweater: me made! (and blogged here)
tunic blouse: me made! ...though not really seen here
necklace: me made!
jeans: urban planet
shoes: aldo
total count: four
As for the headband, this is its debut, so here are some detailed pics of it.
I love it because it feels like I am wearing some sort of crown or tiara that I can get away with for every day wear.
*On a side note, I love these rose quartz earrings because they make me feel so fair skinned. You can barely see them until up close because they match my skin. This is the only reason I can get away with dying my hair red as I do...and tricking people into thinking it is natural. Thank you, Irish DNA.*
It is made from wool felt coating material which I cut into nine leaves and two backing stripes. I sewed casing stripes through ans slipped my plain headband inside, then adding the second row of leaves and stitching that onto it.
