I have fallen behind. It is true. It has been a full week. But just because I haven't been posting regularly doesn't me I've neglected my vow. Me Made March continues through all.

This day was a real challenge, both to get through and to dress to m.m.m. standards. My day consisted of an audition (as a nun) in the morning that I had to dress for, and going straight into a 13 hour work shift that included opening night of a play. But I navigated it as best as I could. I did add my husband's grey sweater on top during the audition portion to make it a little more nun-like.

Said grey hubby's sweater shows up for a second day of auditions set in a Catholic school. Sometimes it is handy to have such a skinny husband. It makes borrowing his clothes a real possibility.
There are finally some shots in here of my cameo earrings. Another Button Button find that I made into earrings.

Included in today's selection are some better photos of that silk blouse from before. Detail shots! Again, this blouse was completely hand-stitched and pre-sewing machine, so you can see that in the close-ups.

Yet another new (to the blog) item is this skirt. Made for graduation, so that would be... almost two years ago. It lies flat in the front and has full pleating in the back. I made it with minimal closure needs, so the two buttons on the back are all that are required for it. I also gave it a contrast hem stitching in burgundy.
Also new are my grey bow earrings.

That wraps it up for now.
We celebrated Pi Day today by making an Apple/Ginger/Blackberry pie and a Sweet Potatoe pie. Delicious! Did you celebrate?

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with pleated beige skirt.
I would be very grateful if you you tell me where I can find the sewing pattern or instructions to make the skirt.
